CREATIVE ARTS WIN TO DRIVE SUNSHINE COAST GROWTH

The Refinery, a creative arts incubator, established in partnership by SunCentral and the MET, Sunshine Coast Council and SCCA is expanding into a year-round program of initiatives focused on the intersection of art, technology, environment and design.

Over the past 5 years, as a 10-week program The Refinery has supported 76 creatives to focus on their practice and business development to enable them to enhance their profile, productivity, connectivity and viability.

SCCA has received almost $350,000 over two years from the QLD Govt. to drive sector innovation and sustainability.Alongside Arts Queensland and foundation partners, The Refinery is also welcoming UniSc as a new strategic partner.

Applications are now open for R6.0 a 10 week intensive incubator program designed to support creative practitioners in establishing and growing entrepreneurial creative businesses that are adaptive, resilient and equipped to engage in dynamic markets.

We acknowledge the Traditional owners, the Kabi Kabi/Gubbi Gubbi people, of the land on which we live and work. We pay our deep respect to their elders past, present and emerging, and extend that respect to all Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples today, throughout Australia and their connections to land, sea and community.
